French rally and racing driver, born on February 26, 1974. He is the most successful rally driver in history. At the beginning he had numerous successes in gymnastics. With time, he started working as an electrician and engineer. However, the fascination with motoring was too great and he decided to devote himself to motor sports in 1996. He joined the Ambition Sport Auto team and so he began his great adventure with rallies. In 1999, he made his WRC debut – initially without much success. In 2001 he won the title of JWRC champion. From then on, he could focus fully on WRC races. He completely dominated them in the years 2004-2012, each year winning the 1st place in the general classification. Such a series of victories is an absolute record in races of this rank. In the 2014 and 2015 season he tried his hand at the World Touring Car Championship, finishing twice on the podium of the competition. From 2016, he performed in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, taking the 5th and 4th place in the following years. In 2016, he also began his adventure with the Dakkar Rally. In World RX 2018 he finished 4th.
